Who do women really dress for?...

So when we decide to get all dolled up before an outing, wether its with or without our men (as some of us are taken, and some of us are single.) who do we really DRESS UP for? ... now as a true fashionista i can only speak for myself by saying i really dress for MYSELF but if i had to choose between the 2 genders i would say i dress more for women then i do for men, and ill explain why! Men don’t get fashion, they just don’t! Even the ones who may seem hip, and “with it” still don’t. They are more conservative... like try explaining what colorblock is to men, or chevron, or why we need to own 10 pairs of black heels when they are all just black. When you see men wearing designers (and this goes also for women btw), it doesn’t mean they are fashion forward, or appreciate fashion in any way shape or form. It just means they are buying this item because a well known designer made it and perhaps I’m cool and more accepted if i wear it (and even with that said they keep it conservative.)  A true fashion lover can turn any outfit (labels or not) into something that looks super expensive and “designer” looking. So when i go out and i get dressed my way, my style, whatever i feel like throwing on in that moment... i can either get the reaction of “wow” (when I’m wearing a plain black bandage mini dress, if you know what i mean) from a man...or “omg, what are you wearing.” (When i have my leather gloves, shorts with fishnet stockings, and some crazy Michael Jackson looking jacket on.) Now if i had to have that same reaction from a woman it would go more like... “wow, i love your style...you look so cool, so fashion forward, ARE You in fashion?” (Without fail i get that all the time!) Now on rare occasions, there are those men that do get it, and do appreciate it....But for real, us ladies that really love and are into fashion know we dress for women we do not dress for men! It’s funny because the other night i just had a conversation with my boyfriend in regards to this see threw dress/top that i want to wear braless! Yes BRALESS!!! Now of course my nipples are going to show, but so what? It’s so in and trendy...and when you truly love fashion, and styling... your not wearing that outfit to attract sexual attention (or for sexual matters)...your wearing it because you love the look, you feel good in it, you appreciate it in an artists point of view. Well ... this specific top he was like hell no to the “braless” idea, but there was an amazing see threw jumpsuit i wore during Art Basel in Miami, and it was so amazing, i felt like Rihana in it! (No lies!) everyone loved and appreciated it (not in a sexual matter), and he honestly loved it himself and totally understood what the outfit truly meant! Below i will attach  an example of what i meant about who we really dress up for... as well as my see threw jumper that was a total hit during Art Basel Miami 2018.

Like which man would understand why i would be wearing this on a Wednesday?

I went super couture with this look... because i just woke up that day feeling it!

And here’s the see threw jumper I totally rocked! I paired it with Guiseppe Zanotti heels, and a Jimmy Choo clutch. Coincidentally enough I actually got this jumper and the tulle top in the photo above from the same local boutique in Miami (both being see threw, fashion forward and all.)
